UK Accountants & SME Finance Teams - Four Day Week Pilot Metrics

I'm writing a piece on the four day week and what success metrics there should be for piloting it in the workplace Interested in hearing from UK accountants and finance teams based within SMEs on how they can support their leaders in deciding on a permanent move to a shorter week Pilots in the UK and around the world are showing positive outcomes in productivity, efficiency and worker wellbeing. It's 100 years since Henry Ford permanently shortened the work week in his factories from six days to five days a week without reducing pay. But not everyone is starry-eyed about going to four days, as I'm hearing that some employers already struggling with increased costs and hiring-related headaches are reducing headcounts and exploring outsourcing / freelance / remote support. The Employment Rights Act strengthens the ability for workers to REQUEST flexible working arrangements from 2027 (such as compressed hours over four days) - but does not mandate this.
