UK Career Changer - Retrained & Back to Education - Earnings Change

Looking for a UK-based first-person CASE STUDY of someone who has had a significant career change (ideally one which included going back in to education / fully retraining). Bonus points if you switched from a 'high-earning' sector like finance/law to something totally different and are now earning more...
