UK Charity Representatives on Reddit Community Engagement
#Journorequest: I'm researching for a Third Sector Podcast episode looking into how charities are making use of Reddit to engage with communities.
Reddit recently overtook TikTok to become the UK's fourth most-visited social media service. For many, it's a source of much-needed authentic human insight and a forum for sharing lived experience. Its content is also being used to train AI models.
Are UK charities part of the conversation? And if so, how? Are they using organisational accounts or empowering supporters to be effective ambassadors? Is this helping to fight misinformation about a charity or a cause?
If you have answers to any of these questions, or indeed a perspective on why your charity is reluctant to engage on Reddit, I'd love to hear from you.
