UK Consumers on Supply Chain Cost Increases for Guardian Money
The conflict in the Middle East, disruption to global shipping routes, and rising oil prices are causing knock-on effects on supply chains and energy markets worldwide. Petrol and mortgage rates have risen, and higher transport and supply costs are pushing up prices of goods and services. The Guardian Money team wants to hear from people in the UK who have noticed increases in household or business costs or experienced disruptions related to these issues, excluding fuel and heating oil.
We’d like to hear from people in the UK who have seen the cost of goods or services increase or experienced delays, cancellations or other disruptions.
From travel and deliveries to everyday goods, have you seen costs increase or disruptions since oil prices began rising? Have you experienced delays, cancellations, shortages, or services not working as usual? Have holiday companies imposed jet fuel surcharges?
Please share your experience with us confidentially. We are interested in your observations about rising costs or service disruptions due to the conflict in the Middle East and its economic impacts beyond just fuel and heating oil.
