Unique Sydney CBD Remote Work Spots with WiFi & Coffee Needed
The sun is out so I'm going hunting for cool spaces to remote work from around Sydney CBD. 😎
I'm working on a piece for my TAFE journalism course about the best hidden gems for remote workers in the city.
Looking for those surprising spots that aren't your typical café or co-working space—places that make you think "I never knew I could work here."
What I need:
- Free WiFi (obviously)
- Decent coffee nearby (or on-site)
- Power plugs within reach
- Somewhere I won't get kicked out after an hour
I'm after the unexpected finds. Maybe it's a hotel lobby that doesn't mind lingerers, a library corner most people miss, or that one café tucked away where the barista actually remembers your order.
Bonus points if it has:
- Natural light
- A view that doesn't suck
- Quiet enough to take calls
- The kind of atmosphere that makes productivity feel less like pulling teeth
I've done the usual suspects (State Library), but I want to uncover spots that locals guard like trade secrets.
Hit me with your recommendations. What's your go-to place when you need to escape the home/office but still get things done?
