Watch Party Attendees in Houston & Dallas - World Cup Experiences
Stories like this continue to be pushed out re: business expectations/reality in World Cup host ciites. This morning, Houston is featured in USA TODAY with insight into its downtown Fan Fest, surrounding restaurants, and parking issues.
Everyone has their own story and angle. Organizers are saying crowds are large with numbers near their presumption. Hotels and restaurants are painting a different picture.
I am doing my own research and reporting for a national publication, in addition to my radio and TV segments. Will be visiting a number of "watch party" venues and the game itself to tell my own stories and share with you.
No matter what you read, see, or hear, just try to enjoy the experience, despite the traffic and other headaches that come with hosting a worldwide, 39-day event. It's been 32 years since the World Cup was held in the U.S. and it will be a long while until it returns to North America.
To my followers and audiences in the host cities (specifically Dallas and Houston), I'm looking for comments/quotes below of your personal experience - good or bad - with the festivities so far. ⚽️
