Wedding DJs on Grooms Controlling Sets for British GQ

Question for wedding DJs – are the grooms backseat mixers? I'm a writer at British GQ working on a piece about men who DJ their own wedding – either on the decks themselves or via pre-recording a mix. I'd also love to know if any professional wedding DJs have stories of grooms being way too controlling/intrusive about your sets – insisting you play X techno deep cut, attempting to get on the decks themselves, etc. Please drop me a message if so!
