Women’s Train Harassment Stories Needed – Birmingham Mail
Getting called a fat b**** on a train is something I would like to say hasn’t happened to me - but it has. 🚝
I’m sure I’m not alone - actually I know I’m not alone - because as women it’s not unheard of to have been harassed or felt uncomfortable on public transport.
This is why over the next few series of articles at my newsroom home, Birmingham Mail, I, alongside my friend and colleague Amy Gaffney, are putting together pieces on safety - and for me it’s safety on trains.
If you want to share your experiences on trains please do reach out to me by emailing [email redacted] - every story matters and every voice heard is another step towards the awareness there needs to be.
And if there’s one number you remember today, let it be 61016 - read my story for why:
'I was harassed twice on public transport - why should women have to travel in fear'
