Seeking interviewee for documentary exploring the meaning of ‘Zeitgeist’ and how it’s evolved through recent decades
Hey everyone,
I’m currently working on a short documentary that explores the idea of “Zeitgeist” — the spirit or cultural mood that defines a particular moment in time.
I’m looking to interview someone who can speak about what that term really means — how it’s shown through the ideas, art, music, and attitudes people share — and how it’s evolved across different eras.
In particular, I’d love to chat about:
What “zeitgeist” actually represents in a cultural sense
How certain movements or trends (music genres, social media, aesthetics, etc.) have captured the “mood” of their time
Examples from recent decades — e.g. how things like deep house music, influencer culture, or even online identity might represent today’s zeitgeist
I’m open to anyone with insight or experience in this area — academics, cultural theorists, journalists, artists, sociologists, or anyone with a strong grasp on contemporary culture.
The interview would be recorded for the documentary, filmed locally (Gold Coast/Brisbane area) or remotely via video call if preferred.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in — or if you know someone who’d be a great fit — please reach out or comment.
