Book leave time! I'm off my day job from now until November 9, traveling the world to learn from places that are finding positive ways to deal with population decline. The itinerary: Finland, Lithuania, Germany, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Japan, South Korea, Singapore. I'll be visiting cities and tiny towns that are rationalizing their urban footprints, caring for their elderly, investing in their workforces, integrating immigrants, and rewilding their rural landscapes. If you study these issues in those countries or have something to share about adapting to demographic evolution, I'd love to hear from you. ✈️
I am looking for people for our #ActualPlay podcast. It would be recording one-on-one sessions of @kultrpg.bsky.social I am particularly looking for people who would be able to play in the EU afternoon (maybe in your evening) important: we make NO money, this would be for fun #TTRPGs
Why do people in post-Communist Eastern European countries still distrust banks and formal financial systems, even decades after transition? Looking to hear from experts! Dm’s are open as well!
Has your opinion on supporting Ukraine changed since 2022? We recently reported on Bulgaria's role in supporting Ukraine during the first years of the full-scale invasion. Our reporting suggests Bulgaria played a much bigger role than many people outside the country realised, particularly in supplying ammunition and military equipment. Today, however, Bulgarian leaders increasingly argue that Bulgaria has done enough. We'd genuinely like to hear from people in Bulgaria: 👉 Has public opinion changed since 2022? Do you think Bulgaria has found the right balance, or should its approach be different now?
Media request on biohacking/peptides Hi! I'm a Europe-based journalist writing a story about how biohacking (mostly peptide use) is moving from a DIY movement to Big Pharma's territory. I would be very grateful to hear from someone from the EU in this community about their stack, other routines, and access to research chemicals. Feel free to DM or comment if of interest, can be anonymous.
Looking to connect with Bulgarian Pomaks for a documentary project Hi everyone! I’m looking for help getting in touch with Bulgarian Pomaks who might be interested in speaking with me for a documentary project. 😊 I’m a Danish video journalist working on an documentary about minority and cultural groups in the European Union, focusing on identity, traditions, and cultural diversity. I’ve been reading about the Pomak community and find its history, culture, and identity incredibly fascinating. I’m planning to travel to Bulgaria in late July, and I’d love to meet people who would be willing to share their experiences, perspectives and spend a day with me. If you’d be interested in talking with me, or if you know someone who might be, I’d be very grateful to hear from you. I’d also be happy to share more details about the project Any tips on how to connect with members of the Pomak community would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help! Best, Frederik
