What I'm looking for from PRs right now... I thought it might be helpful to outline what I'd like to see in my (email) inbox from PRs, organisations and business owners. And on the flipside, what I can offer you. What I'm looking for: + More celebrities/well-known people to interview for regular slots in national newspapers. (I need people who are well-known (or semi well-known) to the average person). + Tech/human rights/sustainability/travel/environment stories in/around Mexico City. Tip: Don't just email me about an organisation. Tell me what the story is. + From July: Sustainability-focused stories from outside of the regions I'm reporting on. These need to be feature ideas (I don't cover press releases - unsure what I mean? Come along to one of my workshops or check out my portfolio page on my website). + From July: Regular or ad hoc work involving interviewing and writing up case studies. Have any other content work? Drop me a DM. + Travel and sustainability stories from the Netherlands (pitches from June). I am planning to be there in October/November. (I will be looking for a place to stay, ideally around Oud West, so shout if you know anywhere). + Hosting opportunities: Moderating panels, hosting fireside interviews and round-table opportunities from July '26. Can be abroad as long as it doesn't involve flying (I love a train journey, though) as I can't justify a flight (for environmental reasons) for a panel discussion. Last year I hosted the fireside chat interview at Semrush's conference in Amsterdam (pictured) while I was already there for a six-week stint. Use of translation apps in health care Hi everyone, I’m a Dutch journalist working on a story about the use of translation and AI language apps in healthcare in the Netherlands. Have you ever used Google Translate, DeepL, ChatGPT, or another translation/AI app during a visit to a GP, hospital, dentist, psychologist, or pharmacy? I’m interested in both positive and negative experiences: Did it help you explain symptoms or understand advice? Did anything get misunderstood? Did it feel awkward, stressful, or reassuring? Were there moments where language became a barrier? Did you trust the app’s translation? Would a professional interpreter have been better for your medical situation? Was the use suggested by you? Looking To Interview Belgian, Dutch, And/German Game Devs! Hello everyone! My name is Kris and I’m looking to interview any game developers from Belgium, Germany, or the Netherlands either currently working or who have formerly worked in any of these countries! I have special interest in anybody who is working in VR/AR/ Mixed Reality of any kind, but any game developer meeting the criteria is welcome! I’m hoping to conduct an interview sometime this week over Zoom, and my availability is really open, so I’m willing to make time. I wanna ask some questions about the European games industry, and compare it to the American games industry. The interview shouldn’t take long maybe 10 to 15 minutes max. Regardless, any help would be greatly appreciated!
