If you enjoyed our previous Critical Lecture Series on synthetic relationships, we have some exciting news! 📺 We're teaming up with Amsterdam AIand the NPO TV programme AI Loveto host a conversation on synthetic relationships. Aaand, we will be on TV! Previously, we discussed how people used AI differently. Now, we want to hear your own thoughts about AI and experiences with it.Despite the name, AI Love isn’t only interested in the romantic use of AI. This event will be a genuine and honest conversation about how AI is becoming a part of our daily lives and social circles.It will be an interactive conversation in whichwe will hear everyone’s thoughts. Out of two groups, only one group will be filmed and aired in Season 3 of AI Love. The conversation in the other group will not be recorded. Looking for people from Groningen to discuss Hanseatic history, tobacco trade & modern cannabis culture Hello everyone, I’m a university student at HU and am currently researching Groningen for a cultural journalism magazine article, and I’m looking to speak with anyone who know the city well, especially locals, historians, students, longtime residents, or anyone very knowledgeable about Groningen’s history and culture. My magazine is going to be mostly focusing on: Groningen’s historical trading identity and links to the Hanseatic League Tobacco trade and smoking culture in Groningen’s commercial history Modern cannabis/coffeeshop culture and student life Internationalism, trade, and cosmopolitan identity in the city How Groningen has changed culturally over time So if anyone is knowledgeable about the Hanseatic league in Groningen and the tobacco trade, I’d love to hear from you, ask some question and maybe do an online interview. What I'm looking for from PRs right now... I thought it might be helpful to outline what I'd like to see in my (email) inbox from PRs, organisations and business owners. And on the flipside, what I can offer you. What I'm looking for: + More celebrities/well-known people to interview for regular slots in national newspapers. (I need people who are well-known (or semi well-known) to the average person). + Tech/human rights/sustainability/travel/environment stories in/around Mexico City. Tip: Don't just email me about an organisation. Tell me what the story is. + From July: Sustainability-focused stories from outside of the regions I'm reporting on. These need to be feature ideas (I don't cover press releases - unsure what I mean? Come along to one of my workshops or check out my portfolio page on my website). + From July: Regular or ad hoc work involving interviewing and writing up case studies. Have any other content work? Drop me a DM. + Travel and sustainability stories from the Netherlands (pitches from June). I am planning to be there in October/November. (I will be looking for a place to stay, ideally around Oud West, so shout if you know anywhere). + Hosting opportunities: Moderating panels, hosting fireside interviews and round-table opportunities from July '26. Can be abroad as long as it doesn't involve flying (I love a train journey, though) as I can't justify a flight (for environmental reasons) for a panel discussion. Last year I hosted the fireside chat interview at Semrush's conference in Amsterdam (pictured) while I was already there for a six-week stint.
