Event Professionals - Winter Events & Traffic & Access Control & AV

Morning my favourite event people... how the devil are we? I am currently researching and writing the May edition of StandOut Magazine (Stand Out Live Events Magazine) and I'd love some input: ❄️ Winter events – from Christmas markets and light trails to festive attractions and winter solstice events, I want to know how your event went last year, lessons learned, and what plans you have for 2026? 🚘 Traffic and transport management – if people have to queue to get in and out of our event site, boy, will they let you know about it! Hence, great traffic and transport plans are crucial. Tweaking yours this year? Putting new plans in place? Giz a shout. 🎟️ Access control – a NEW feature for 2026. Who are you letting into your venue and onto your site? And with what measures, tools, and products? If you're reviewing your access control plans, I'd love to know more. 💡 Light, sound, and AV – all the latest info on best practice, new products on the market, and the secret to getting light, sound, and AV. If you've just produced an event and the light, sound, and AV was soo good, it made you cry, drop me a note. If you would like to get involved with any of these features, email [email redacted], message me, or leave a note below. Even tag someone that you think we should talk to. Either way, please get involved and help shape next month's stories. #Eventprofs #LiveEvents #JournoRequest

Event Professionals for StandOut Inclusive Events & 2026 Trends

I'd love to say that I am bursting into 2026 with all the energy of a Duracell bunny but I'm not... As it snows outside, there's a strong desire to drink copious buckets of Yorkshire Tea and hunker down. How are you finding this cold January morning? I know lots of people are still off, taking some well-earned extended down time (or taking the holiday they are still owed from last year more like), and I know the rest of us are easing ourselves back into a routine that is not fuelled by cheese and Celebrations. Today, I am plodding through some admin, quietly putting one foot in front of the other, slowly warming up. If you're feeling a bit meh today and the normal office routine is not exciting you, how about a distraction? But one with a big reward. I am currently preparing a bunch of features for the February edition of StandOut Magazine (Stand Out Live Events Magazine) and I'd love your input. Here's what we're working on: 🧑🦼 Accessible and inclusive events – we want to talk to you about the steps and measures you are taking to make your events more accessible and inclusive 🎯 Experiential activations – we're looking back at some of the top experiential activations of 2025 and the trends that will shape 2026 🎪 Marquees – think best practice, new products, market trends, and contract wins. For example, have you changed marquee provider? Let us know why. 🎇 Visual spectaculars – everything from drones and lasers to fireworks and fire gardens It's your opportunity to talk about some of the great things you are doing on site or for your clients. Get in touch in the usual ways – ping me a message on LI, leave a comment below, tag someone who you think might be interested in any of these features, or email [email redacted] #Eventprofs #EventNews #JournoRequest PS: This is a pic of me taken at the weekend. It was freezing. Can you tell? 😆
