Hi, I'm working on a story for The Indian Express about something I wish I'd learnt much earlier: the pelvic floor. We spend years learning about periods, contraception and pregnancy prevention, yet many of us know surprisingly little about the muscles that support our bladder, bowel and reproductive organs. For many women, the pelvic floor only enters the conversation when something goes wrong, whether that's urinary leaks, constipation, pelvic pain, painful sex or childbirth. The story will explore why pelvic floor health remains overlooked in women's health education, why pelvic floor dysfunction isn't limited to postpartum women, and why younger women can also experience symptoms without recognising the underlying cause. I'm looking to speak with: 🔹 Women (18+) who only discovered the importance of their pelvic floor after experiencing symptoms such as urinary leakage, constipation, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, pelvic heaviness or other bladder and bowel issues. Have you developed a food intolerance or allergy as an adult, even though you grew up eating that food without any problems? For my upcoming piece for The Indian Express, I'm writing about adult-onset food intolerances and allergies, inspired by my own experience of developing an intolerance to milk and dairy products in my late 20s. What began as a personal health puzzle has made me curious about how and why this happens to so many adults.
