Academic Sources on Digital ID-Online Safety Act-Child Protection
Sources needed
I'm writing a paper and trying to cover digital ID and the online safety act. I'm looking for sources in reference to 'protecting the children' often being a cover up to push poorly thought out censorship and making Internet spaces more hostile while not really doing much for kids. And or just being an excuse to push minorities to the side because they're 'dangerous'.
I'm arguing in favour of protecting children by giving them more Internet spaces for them (think club pengin, flash games, kids websites) instead of trying to force social media/ adult centered forums into being something they're not. I'm also looking at linking this to the facial recognition cameras going up and scanning young children without proper cause/ consent.
If you know of any academics who've gone into this I'd appreciate any links to their work/ names of specific people. If you have written about this and would be willing to share/ discuss your work further with me I would be very grateful.
