Anti-Diet RDs on Healthier Food Comparisons for HuffPost
Story: Is the “healthier” product/food really “healthier”?
Publication: HuffPost
Sources needed: anti-diet RDs
Background: Personal trainer and TikTok creator Laura Ghiacy has an awesome series where she compares two foods: an "unhealthy" one and the "healthier" alternative. What these comparisons typically show is that the "unhealthy" option often has less calories, carbs, sugar, etc (which may feel "healthier" to some).
Deadline to answer questions: Thursday, August 21, EOD
Questions:
- Name, credentials, link to bio/about page
- Please share a few examples like Laura Ghiacy’s (but different ones) and explain their nutritional differences.
- What are the implications of having information like this? (More freedom to eat what you want and what’s affordable? Gaining more insight into marketing scams that affect your health in certain ways? Focusing more on what you want from the food, whether it’s protein or taste or something else? Etc etc!)
- Anything else you’d like to share about this comparison and what constitutes a “healthy” food for different people?
Guideline: Please let Ashley know if you can help & who the expert/source is. Once given the green light, answer the questions by the listed deadline. If you mention a study or say “research,” please link it! NEW: Make sure the name/your client’s name is spelled correctly. Don’t use AI to generate your answers, please!
