Chile AI Security & Governance Experts - National AI Guide
๐บ๐ธ The challenge of AI is no longer simply adopting it.
It is governing it when it starts to decide, recommend, and act.
And that challenge cannot be addressed by a single organization, discipline, or country.
From the AI Security & Governance Commission of the Chilean Chamber of Artificial Intelligence (CCHIA), together with its 36 members, we are developing the AI Governance & Security Guide for Chile.
And we want to bring into this process the perspectives of experts from Chile and around the world. ๐
Why open this conversation?
Because a guide that aims to become a meaningful reference must connect operational experience, research, regulation, security, and industry expertise.
We want to hear from those who are currently:
โ Implementing AI across large organizations and startups
โ Protecting systems, data, and critical infrastructure
โ Shaping public policy and regulation
โ Conducting research at universities and academic institutions
โ Assessing legal, ethical, and societal risks
โ Auditing automated systems
โ Building AI models, platforms, and agents
โ Making decisions across boards, technology, risk, compliance, data, and cybersecurity
We do not want this guide to remain at the level of principles alone.
We want it to help answer questions that are already reaching boards, CISOs, developers, auditors, and regulators:
โ Who is accountable when an automated system makes the wrong decision?
โ What controls should be in place before AI goes into production?
โ How should we govern AI agents capable of taking actions across real-world systems?
โ What evidence should a board, regulator, or auditor require?
โ How do we protect data, people, and organizations without slowing innovation?
Our ambition is clear:
Chile should not only stand out for adopting Artificial Intelligence.
It should also be able to demonstrate that the AI it uses is secure, governable, and auditable.
And we believe that a national reference of this nature must be built by listening to diverse voices.
