Armour Hill Users in Peterborough - Vehicle Closure Experiences

Armour Hill vehicle closure: What’s your experience been? Hi everyone, I’m a local journalist working on a story about the vehicle closure at Armour Hill, which has been in place since December 2025, and I’m hoping to hear from people who have used the hill over the years. What did you typically use Armour Hill for before the closure (driving up, walking, cycling, visiting the lookout, etc.)? Have things changed for you since vehicles were restricted? I’m also interested in any accessibility impacts or general experiences people have had using the space more recently. At the time of the closure, the City indicated it would revisit access after winter. In a December 2025 Peterborough Examiner article, Brendan Wedley said “after the winter, the city will be looking at a way to allow vehicular access during the day and early evening, while restricting access overnight.” Feel free to comment or message me if you’d rather share privately.
