I'm writing about the popularity and appeal of camping videos on YouTube (Outdoor Boys, Camping with Steve and similar channels) for The New York Times and am looking to speak to psychologists and/or sociologists who have experience in analysing behaviours behind YouTube trends, including parasocial/vicarious viewing habits, ASMR, comfort viewing etc.—and preferably some knowledge of the effect of nature/the outdoors on emotions and wellbeing etc. I'm also looking for someone with expertise in YouTube algorithms and what drives high watch time and subscribers. Thank you!
