Black CBT Therapists & Psychiatrists - GAD Underdiagnosis

πŸ“’ Call for guests β€” CBT Series: The Anxiety No One Diagnosed We're inviting clinicians, researchers, and advocates to join Black Mental Health Matters for an upcoming conversation on Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in the Black community. GAD is one of the most common anxiety disorders, yet it's consistently underdiagnosed among Black Americans β€” not because it's less present, but because it often goes unnamed, misread, or overshadowed by other pressures. This episode will explore why that gap exists, what Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offers as a path to relief, and how chronic stress and racial trauma shape the way anxiety shows up in our community. We're looking to hear from: β€’ CBT therapists β€’ Psychiatrists β€’ Anxiety researchers β€’ Clinical psychologists β€’ Racial trauma specialists β€’ Those with lived experience navigating GAD If this is your area of expertise or lived experience and you'd like to contribute to the conversation, we'd love to hear from you. πŸ“… Episode airs July 25th πŸ“§ Pitch your story to [email redacted] #BlackMentalHealthMatters #CBTSeries #GeneralizedAnxietyDisorder #MentalHealthAwareness #CallForGuests
