Gearing up to drop S2 of Brandmakers but thought I'd first do a little reflection on what came to light on S1. One of the biggest surprises from filming the first series of Brandmakers had very little to do with marketing itself.
It was all the ways that each leader got some of their best ideas and insights away from marketing and away from LI.
They immerse themselves in culture, obsess over niche interests, explore subcultures and pursue hobbies and side projects that give them a different perspective on the world. That curiosity shapes the way they think, make decisions and ultimately build brands.
That's what Brandmakers is really about. Not just the strategies behind some of today's most recognisable brands, but the people behind them, and the experiences, passions and perspectives that influence how those brands show up in the world.
A thanks to my incredible lineup of guests who signed up despite me having literally no proof of concept.
