California Students Placed Out-of-State - Public School-Funded Placements

Students placed in TTI programs from California Hey guys! My name is Josh. I’m a fellow survivor (2NBR/Carlbrook) and a journalist. I’m working on a piece about California special education placements into out-of-state residential treatment facilities. I’d love to talk to any survivors and/or parents from California or anywhere else in the country who were sent out of state to a program. Especially interested in speaking with people who were placed there in consultation with a public school or who had their tuition paid for or reimbursed by a public school system. While the main piece right now looks focused on California, I understand this is a nationwide issue. So if you went through this same thing anywhere in the country, I’d love to speak with you too.
