Canadians With Alcohol-Linked Cancer - Personal Stories
Canadians: Did alcohol play a role in your cancer? I'd like to hear your story
Hi everyone,
I'm a journalist working on a story about alcohol and cancer, and I'm hoping to speak with Canadians who believe their cancer may have been linked to alcohol consumption.
Alcohol is recognized as a cause of at least seven types of cancer, including:
• Breast cancer
• Colorectal cancer
• Liver cancer
• Mouth (oral cavity) cancer
• Throat (pharyngeal) cancer
• Voice box (laryngeal) cancer
• Esophageal cancer
I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who:
• Were unaware alcohol was a cancer risk factor before their diagnosis
• Learned about the alcohol-cancer connection during or after treatment
• Have reflected on their own drinking habits following a diagnosis
• Feel alcohol-related cancer risks are not well communicated to the public.
If you're interested in speaking, please send me a direct message or comment below and can share more information about me and the story I am working on.
Thank you for considering sharing your experience.
