Charlottetown Artists - Library Mural Awarded to Out-of-Province

City of Ch’town library mural going to out-of-province artist Incredibly frustrating to see the City of Charlottetown opt for out-of-province mural corporations and artists from Alberta/Ontario/Quebec rather than local artists. This is a semi-permanent and prominent installation — we’re not going to give it to a local? Uncomfortable given this mural is 2 blocks from the PEI Craft Council and a number of galleries. It’s up for a public vote between the 3 out-of-province submissions, but I urge you to skip the vote and go straight to sharing your thoughts in a public forum like the City’s related Facebook post or Instagram post. —— If there are any journalists interested in picking this up for an article, DM me — I can put you in contact with a couple of local artists that submitted to the original Call For Artists and would be happy to provide a quote.
