Dealerships Rental & Fleet Operators - Automated Vehicle Inspections

I went in for an oil change and ended up getting a firsthand look at something I think we're going to see a lot more of in transportation. I drove through an AI-powered vehicle inspection system that scanned my car in seconds. It checked the tires and tread depth, inspected the exterior and found scratches and dings, including damage I hadn't noticed myself. The technology comes from UVeye, founded by Amir Hever and Ohad Hever, and what I found especially interesting is how the company got started. The technology has roots in security, where computer vision was originally used to inspect the underside of vehicles for hidden threats. Now that same basic idea is being applied to dealerships, rental cars, fleets and other areas of transportation. I saw the system firsthand at Zeigler Automotive Group , and it got me thinking about where this goes next. Imagine a trucking terminal where every tractor and trailer is automatically scanned as it enters and leaves the yard. Instead of relying only on periodic inspections, fleets could potentially build a visual history of each vehicle and identify what changed between visits. That's where this gets really interesting to me. The video shows what I experienced, but I wanted to understand more about the technology, where it came from, how it actually works and where it could eventually take vehicle inspections.
