Delivery Drivers & Customers - Missing In-App Tips

Do you guys ever talk about tips with customers? I'm writing a story about tipping for Business Insider, specifically whether customers and delivery workers ever have discussions about tips that apparently went missing on the app. I heard a story recently from a customer who realized that the driver had only gotten a fraction of the tip he left after he DM'd with the driver. I've also heard that some delivery workers notice similar situations when they're delivering to regular customers, friends, etc. Have you ever had a situation like this as a customer or driver?
