Disabled New Yorkers & Advocates - DOJ Olmstead Memo Fallout

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services appears to have taken down the webpage on "Community Living and Olmstead" under their Civil Rights topic section. #JournoRequest I'm looking for experts and advocates available this week discuss the fallout and concerns from last week's Justice Department memo regarding integration/Olmstead - feel free to message me here or at [email redacted]. Especially interested in anyone who can explain in plain language what this means for people with disabilities at the moment, what might happen next, what people can do in the meantime, etc for our Disabilities Beat segment next week. We usually prioritize sources with lived experience with disability and who have a connection to New York State (where my stories mainly air). Thank you in advance. PS: If I'm popping up in your timeline, I'm a disabled and neurodivergent investigative reporter covering disability rights and justice full time for a binational NPR station (Buffalo & Toronto). #Integration #Disability #Disabilities #NewYork #NewYorkState #Olmstead #IAmOlmstead #DisabilityRights #DisabilityJustice #DOJ
