Educators & Workforce Leaders - Measuring Graduate Outcomes

Higher Education Insights | Episode 010: Graduation matters. Every credential earned represents persistence, sacrifice, and an accomplishment worth celebrating. But I've spent enough years in higher education to believe our responsibility to students goes beyond getting them across the graduation stage. We also have to ask: Did their education create opportunity? Did they develop skills employers value? Do they understand how their education connects to a career pathway? Are they better positioned to provide for themselves and their families? And perhaps most importantly, do they leave us believing that their future has expanded because they walked through our doors? Those questions matter to me because education should lead somewhere. A certificate, degree, or credential is an important milestone. The impact becomes even greater when that achievement opens a door to employment, advancement, entrepreneurship, or continued education. That's where higher education and workforce development have to remain connected. How should colleges measure student success after graduation?
