Esperanto Experts - AI-Generated Constructed Languages - Science

Looking to speak with Esperanto experts for a Science magazine story Hi everyone, I'm a science journalist currently reporting a story for Science magazine (science.org) about an upcoming study that uses large language models to generate constructed languages. The researchers developed a system that builds languages step-by-step, creating phonology, grammar and vocabulary before testing whether the resulting language can be used consistently. The authors suggest that language invention may offer a way to explore AI creativity and reasoning. I'm interested in speaking with people who have deep knowledge of Esperanto, language planning, or constructed languages more broadly. In particular, I'd love to hear perspectives on questions such as: How does AI-generated language creation compare with human-designed languages like Esperanto? Is language creation primarily a creative process, an engineering process, or both? What would Esperanto speakers or scholars look for when judging whether an invented language is "good" or coherent? If you can recommend someone knowledgeable, please comment below or send me a DM.
