Health trends in youth - seeking interviews for story Hi! I’m a student journalist at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, and I’m doing a feature article on health trends in young people and how it’s affecting the body, specifically looking at the Evanston/Chicagoland area. More specifically, I’m interested in exploring the rise of protein consumption (caused by small/big brands launching protein products), the rise of gym going, and the normalization of disordered eating (orthorexia) through wellness culture on social media. Ultimately, I want to answer the question, who is shaping young people’s idea of health? And what is that effect? I’m looking to interview psychologists, fitness trainers, social media influencers, students, parents, food industry workers, etc. But I want to emphasize that I want to hear from anyone who has a particular opinion on this!!!
