Former Potter's House Members - Shepherding Movement Influence

How Did "The Shepherding Movement" Come To Integrate Itself Into The Potters House? Hello! I'm currently working on an article about The Potter's House Church, and I'm researching fairly heavily some of the earlier happenings within the movement. I've talked to many who've gone to/escaped from the church, who said that it initially started as a sort of free-flowing, decentralized movement by adopting some featured from The Jesus People. But eventually it would become heavily influenced by The Shepherding Movement, which is what started to really create the cultish "The pastor is your ultimate spiritual leader and you must always listen to them" style of the church. Can anybody tell me more about how The Shepherding Movement came in and effects the church in those earlier days?
