Frontline Workers With Migraine - Managing Attacks On Shift

Friends: Are you a frontline worker (like a clinician or first responder) with migraine? I’m working on a story about frontline workers with migraine and how they manage the disease in conditions that are usually loud, bright, hectic, and tend to have limited access to quiet, bathroom breaks, etc. A few questions: 1. Has good prevention helped you reduce the burden of attacks during work? 2. What kinds of acute treatments can you use safely in your situation? 3. What kinds of acute treatments are NOT safe to use in your situation? (examples: medications that make you sleepy if you have to drive or operate machinery; meds that complicate your ability to read prescriptions or orders and deliver them safely; neuromodulation devices that may interfere with nearby equipment) 4. Have you asked for accommodations at work? What workarounds have helped? Or have you switched to another position or profession?
