Student writing about the gay dating market, would love to hear your experiences Hey everyone, I hope this isn't the wrong place to post this. I'm a student and I'm working on an article about the gay dating market: how it actually works, which apps people use and why, and how the whole thing has changed over the past few years. Before I write anything I'd much rather hear from people who actually live it than just repeat what's already been written about it. Some of the things I'm curious about: Which apps are you on, and what do you use each one for? A lot of people seem to keep two or three going for different reasons. If you're on Grindr, what keeps you there? Habit, the fact that everyone else is on it, or does it genuinely do something the others don't? If you've left an app or switched, what pushed you out? Has meeting people got easier or harder for you over the last few years? How much still happens offline, through bars, sports clubs, friends of friends, rather than through an app? Any answer in the comments helps, even a short one. And if anyone is willing to hop on a quick call, 15 to 20 minutes whenever suits you, that would help me enormously.
