Reporter hoping to hear from patients - How do you feel about new GLP-1 pills awaiting FDA approval?
Hi there, I'm a reporter at NPR (hi! me: https://www.npr.org/people/825275572/sydney-lupkin) working on a story about the new semaglutide and orforglipron pills that are awaiting FDA approval.
I've spoken to scientists and clinicians about these pills, but I really want to know what patients think about the subject. If you're already on a glp-1 injection, would you switch? Were you afraid of needles and finally this seems like an option? Are you hoping for a lower price? Better insurance coverage? Something else? What do you want NPR listeners to know?
And are there questions this community wants answered?
You can reply here or reach out to me via email at [email redacted]. I’d love to talk to a few patients and get some voices on the radio, but I know that’s not for everyone. So if you have something to share that you think I should know but don’t want to be interviewed, everything helps! Thank you! (Also thanks to the Mods for permission to post!)
