Hackney Clubgoers & Pirate Radio Participants - Music Scene Memories

Researching Hackney music history (Four Aces, pirate radio etc.). Would love any memories or sources Hi all, I’m currently researching the history of music and community in Hackney, particularly how things like clubs, blues dances, sound systems and pirate radio actually worked on the ground. So not just the music itself, but: \* how people found out about things \* how scenes were organised \* how places like the Four Aces, Labyrinth, Phebes etc. operated day-to-day \* and how pirate stations like Kool, Rush, Deja Vu and others fit into that I’m also interested in how this connects to wider things going on at the time, like housing, policing, activism etc. I’d really love to hear from anyone who: \* remembers these places or stations \* was involved in any way \* has photos, flyers, recordings or stories \* or can point me towards good sources I’ve started writing a couple of pieces based on archive material and oral histories. These pieces are to document the research and invite feedback / corrections: https://open.substack.com/pub/onceuponatimeinhackney Appreciate any help. Even small details or memories are really useful. Thanks.
