Heirs of Deceased Shareholders in India - IEPF Claims Experience

Have you (or your family) ever tried to claim shares from IEPF (Investor Education and Protection Fund)? I'm reporting a story for Thefynprint on what the IEPF claims process actually looks like from the claimant's side. Not the official version. The real one. I want to hear from people who found out a deceased parent or grandparent had shares sitting in IEPF, or filed for getting their shares back and are still waiting. If you got their application rejected, and didn't understand why, or have managed to successfully claimed but only after months or years of running around, or are currently stuck somewhere in the process, I want to hear from you.
