I saw this statue in Reykjavík during my Iceland trip —and it felt as if it captured the central question behind my book I am currently working on,"Untitling": What happens when one title, role or label becomes so large that it takes over our entire identity? In a world shaped by AI, disruption, migration, changing relationships and shifting social roles, I am building the case for why we need “unsinkable identities”—identities strong and spacious enough to survive when a label changes, disappears or is taken away.
