Immigrant & Expat Families with Kita Enrollment Experience

Press request: Kitas looking for immigrant and expat families Hello everyone! I hope it’s okay that I’m writing to the group here, but I could really use your help with some research. I am a journalist and I am currently researching the topic of a shortage of families in daycares (Kitas). In brief, here is what it is about: Apparently, there are too many vacant spots in daycares, so much so that some Kitas are now specifically trying to reach out to international families to fill these places. In doing so, they might offer a diverse environment, advertise in different languages, or have specialists who are proficient in several languages. If any of you have had such an experience, I would love to hear more about it. This shift is particularly interesting to us because there was a long-standing shortage of daycare spots, and the pendulum is now swinging back again. Perhaps you have experienced something yourselves? Or do you know someone whom this concerns? If so, please reach out and I can tell you more about the project. I would be delighted to have your input. Thank you in advance! Best regards, Aysun (PS: I myself have a migration background, and I can conduct interviews in German, English, or Turkish, should anyone want to contact me)
