Irish Mothers, Grandmothers & Teachers - Boys & Young Men Challenges
Do you have strong views on the conversation around boys and men in Ireland today?
I am producing a new documentary for RTÉ exploring the experiences of boys and men in Ireland today, and we're looking to hear from women who have thoughtful views on the subject.
We're particularly interested in speaking with mothers, grandmothers, teachers, youth workers and other women who feel strongly about the challenges facing boys and young men.
We'd love to hear from women who believe:
Boys today are growing up in a very different world to previous generations.
Young men face pressures that aren't always recognised or talked about.
Boys need positive male role models and good guidance as they grow up.
Qualities like resilience, responsibility, kindness and courage should be encouraged rather than criticised.
Families, schools and communities all have an important role to play in helping boys become confident, respectful young men.
Whether your views come from raising children, working with young people, or simply from your own life experience, we'd love to hear your perspective.
The documentary aims to explore a wide range of opinions and experiences, and we're looking for honest, respectful conversations rather than debate.
If you'd be interested in finding out more, please get in touch.
