Major US Winter Wildlife Experiences for National Geographic

I’m working on a piece for National Geographic about winter wildlife watching across the country. I’m looking for examples of MAJOR wildlife experiences like the monarch migration and elephant seal mating that I’m witnessing in Santa Cruz right now, or thousands of elk at the refuge in Wyoming.
