Men Who Improved Health Preconception - Impact On Partner Pregnancy
Looking to speak to men who went on a health/fitness journey prior to conceiving a child
Hey everyone,
I hope you're okay with me posting here - the mods have said that it's okay. I'm Alice Porter and I'm a freelance journalist currently working on a pitch about men trying to improve their health and fitness before they try for a baby.
There have been a number of social media posts about how certain issues women face during pregnancy including morning sickness and preeclampsia are linked to the father's health at the point of conception. Was this something you take into account or will be taking into account for potential future pregnancies?
If so, I'd love to hear why you made this decision and how you changed/will be changing your health/fitness routines in the hopes of your partner having a better pregnancy.
I'm still pitching this story, but hoping to place it with the Guardian. The piece will be handled sensitively, and I can keep you anonymous if you'd prefer. You can see some examples of my other articles here: https://www.wordsbyalice.com/journalism-1
Please leave me a comment or send me a message here if you're interested in speaking to me for the piece. You can also email me at [email redacted]
Thanks!
The Guardian
