Men’s Attitudes Toward Gay Kissing - Insights & Experiences Needed

Does It Surprise You That Men Are Uncomfortable Seeing Gay Men Kiss? GQ recently released a State of Masculinity Survey and one of the findings was that only 28% of men are comfortable seeing other men kiss, which I found surprising since American men overwhelmingly support gay marriage and same sex relationships (maybe I just have progressive friends, but in my own life, most of my straight male friends don't care one way or the other and certainly arent' uncomfortable with my talking about dating or sex). Transparently, I'm a writer working on a story about this, so am looking for some insights. Did this also surprise you? Any insights or experiences anyone could share?
