It's time to double down on stories around Michigan innovation.
Plain and simple, Michiganders aren't great about puffing our chests.
Many of you know that I've been interviewing Midwest Doers and Makers for quiet some time, however, a few factors are converging that makes me realize that focusing on highlighting Michigan stories is more important than ever.
Why am I putting this in overdrive?
➡️ I attended Michigan Tech Week and it was spectacular - so much promise.
➡️ News out of the Detroit Regional Chamber Mackinac Policy Conference and The Detroit News is reporting that our state is 40th in terms of income.
➡️ Yet I was back at TechTown Detroit for their monthly FREE build nights and walked away with even more knowledge and how-tos around the things I am working on.
There is a disconnect.
❓ What can I do to help solve this and ensure that those who are helping shape our economy get more awareness?
👊 More interviews and more sharing.
I'm looking for Michigan founders, builders and operators who are in it right now. Building companies. Making moves. Doing the work.
If that's you, or if you know someone who should be on, I want to hear from you.
📩 Email me: blagica at zlato dot co (no 'm')
Tell me who you are, what you're building and why Michigan. That's it.
I'll be updating the format and the podcasts will be carved down to 30 minutes or less, to fill as many slots as possible these next few weeks.
Let's put a mic on this state. 🎙️
