NYC Punk Musicians & Fans - Punk Impact on People Neighborhoods City

Writing a story on NYC punk culture Hello everyone! My name is Isaiah, I am currently attending the school of New York Times in NYC. For my final I really wanted to do a story on the pinks of NYC. Specifically how the music changes an individual, household, neighborhood, and the whole city. I also want to focus on the definition of punk and why rebellion is important. Does anyone have any tips regarding on where I could get photos and interview some folks? I am going to punk island, but is there more that I can do given my deadline in one week?
