Ontario Lyme Disease Patients - Diagnosis Delays & Tick Spread

Seeking stories of Lyme Disease in Ontario for a story Hi all, I’m a reporter working on a story about the rise of Lyme disease in Ontario for the Toronto Star, and I’m hoping to connect with people who’ve been affected. Across Canada, cases have been climbing steadily over the past decade, with thousands reported each year and Ontario accounting for a large share. Ticks are also spreading into new areas and sticking around longer as the climate warms, increasing the chances of exposure. I’m especially interested in hearing from people who: were diagnosed with Lyme disease (recently or in the past few years) struggled to get diagnosed or treated were exposed in places that didn’t used to be considered “high risk” noticed changes in tick activity where you live If you’re open to sharing your experience, feel free to comment or DM me. Thanks in advance!
