Oura Users - Orthosomnia Obsession With Sleep Data
Are you obsessed with your sleep data? BBC News request on 'orthosomnia'
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a feature story about orthosomnia - an obsession with achieving 'perfect' sleep - and I'm looking to speak to people who've noticed this in themselves.
Does your Oura sleep score make you feel more anxious, or more conscious of your sleep? Have you taken your sleep data to a doctor because you've been so worried about it? Have you found yourself becoming fixated, or even obsessed, with your sleep data? Or is this something you experienced in the past and have overcome it?
This is for a feature article on the BBC News website, and a potential video for social media - so please do let me know if you're also willing to appear on camera.
Please be assured that this will be sensitively reported, with nuance and care.
If you'd like to speak to me, or want to find out more about the piece, email me [email redacted]- please include your name, age and location, a bit about your experience, and whether you're willing to appear on camera or not.
Thank you,
Ash
