Do you have experience with, or know someone who takes, lithium to treat bipolar disorder? I'm in the early stages of researching my next Discover feature story, which explores how some medications can change lives long before science fully understands exactly how they work. One of the drugs I'm particularly interested in is lithium. Despite being a cornerstone treatment for bipolar disorder for decades researchers are still working to piece together the full picture of what it does in the brain.
