People With Fibromyalgia in Toronto - Reaction to 2024 StatsCan

Toronto Star interview request Hi! I’m a reporter at the Toronto Star writing a story about a new Statistics Canada report that says the functional health of adults has declined from 68.6% in 2015 to 56.4% in 2024. This is attributed to declining emotional health and the increasing prevalence of pain. I spoke with an expert in pain, who said that women often face harder-to-diagnose conditions like fibromyalgia and endure more pain due to societal and healthcare biases.
