PhD Scientists Now in Finance - Pros & Cons of Transition

Journalist request: Looking to speak with people who have moved from scientific research into a career in finance Hey all, I'm a journalist working on an article about making a career transition from scientific research to finance. I'm interested in speaking with anyone who has worked in scientific research up to PhD level or beyond, then has decided to switch to a career in financial services (any role at a bank, investment firm, hedge fund etc. would be suitable).
