A pleasure to sit down and discuss football tactics in-depth with Davide Ancelotti yesterday before he goes to the World Cup in charge of Brazil alongside his dad. We spoke about his managerial influences, including what he’s learnt from the likes of Sacchi, Guardiola, Mourinho, Enrique, De Zerbi, Emery & Simeone. Lots of chat about balancing M2M and zonal tactics out of possession as well as how you empower individuals when giving tactical instructions.
