Are you waiting for opioid settlement money from Purdue, Mallinckrodt or Endo? We’re investigative journalists who want to hear your story.
(Big thanks to mod u/djspacebunny for approving our post!)
Hi r/ChronicPain,
We’re investigative reporters for ProPublica and The Philadelphia Inquirer. In our latest investigation, we found that while nearly 140,000 people filed claims against Purdue for the harm they said its painkillers caused, fewer than half of them will get any compensation.
We heard from victims who told us they were caught off-guard by the changes to the settlement. “It was a punch in the gut,” one woman said.
Now, as we continue to report on drugmakers Purdue, Mallinckrodt and Endo, we want to hear about people's experiences filing a claim for compensation for addiction or other harm as a result of the prescription-opioid crisis. If you have a story to share, you can get in touch with us here: https://www.propublica.org/getinvolved/purdue-endo-mallinckrodt-opioid-settlement-callout
We take your privacy seriously. We are gathering these stories for the purposes of our reporting and will contact you if we wish to publish any part of your story.
Thank you so much for your time.
